Non-fungible token (NFT) collection Pudgy Penguins joined hands with Web3 domain provider Unstoppable Domains, allowing users to access Pudgy World with their .pudgy domain names.
On July 10, the two companies announced that .pudgy domain holders can sign into the virtual world using only their domain names. The team believes this adds an ownership layer to users’ Pudgy World Experience.
With the new integration, users will no longer need to submit Web2-based credentials such as Google or Apple accounts to sign into the virtual world. Furthermore, the integration allows users to log into their accounts without traditional passwords.

Empowering digital identities
In a press release, Carter emphasized the benefits of integrating Web3 domains with Pudgy World access. The executive said:
“This latest integration with Pudgy Penguins empowers users to truly own their digital identities and control their virtual experience.”
In a statement sent to Cointelegraph, Carter said that by using .pudgy domains, users are liberated from Web2 constraints. Carter also expressed excitement about users gaining greater sovereignty over their digital selves and shaping this new reality. Carter explained:
“Users can now engage in the Pudgy Penguins ecosystem with a greater sense of autonomy, knowing their data is not being shared with third-party Web2…..
